The Complete Instant Vortex Air Fryer Cookbook is yet another excellent air fryer cookbook by Linda Larsen, who is a veteran air fryer cookbook author. While this cookbook focuses on the Instant Vortex air fryer made by Instant Pot®, the recipes are suitable for all air fryers. Being an appliance junkie, myself, however, I ordered an Instant Vortex air fryer, and I’m glad I did because it does even more than what my other air fryers do (including a rotisserie), and I was able to test the recipes in the cookbook fairly as they are written. (Incidentally, I believe the “one with the most wins,” so you can’t have too many appliances!) Don’t worry if you don’t have this newest air fryer, the recipes work beautifully in any brand or type of air fryer and Larsen gives instructions for preparing dishes no matter what the brand.

The recipes are written in the traditional manner and are easy to follow. In fact, most of the recipes are easy to begin with, have minimal ingredients, and are fairly quick to prepare. Every recipe tried so far has turned out. There are recipes here for everyone, and they will appeal to everyone, even picky eaters. The information on air frying at the beginning of the cookbook is timely and helpful. Air fryers are faster than regular ovens, don’t heat up your kitchen, and are very convenient, so anyone who is in a hurry will be ahead time-wise by using an air fryer.

The only drawback to this cookbook (and Larsen’s others that I own) is the fact that there aren’t many photographs. Most cooks want to see what the finished dish will look like, and that isn’t possible here. The cookbook, however, includes dishes that busy cooks everywhere will want to make with good instructions for perfect results.

Almost everyone has fallen in love with their air fryers, and this is an excellent book to have on the cookbook shelf.
